Seed Depth When Planting
Burying a seed deeper than about a centimetre and a half forces the sprout to spend reserves reaching the surface, and some never make it. Depth guidance along with cover material suggestions is listed at https://potentthcseeds.com. Planting too shallow creates the opposite problem, where the shell dries out before the root anchors. A light covering that stays evenly damp handles both risks.
